Announcement: Price Drop, Scholarships, and Patron Fund.
A message from the Co-Stewards
New Ticket Price: $995
In the lead-up to any large-scale event, many conversations take place behind the scenes. Since announcing The Cascadia Men’s Conference, over and over again my co-steward Ian and I have heard how financially precarious most men’s lives are right now.
Gas, food, and rent prices have all risen dramatically. The sad reality is that when money is tight, things not directly related to survival or distraction are often the first thing to be cut.
We have heard from other event producers in the Pacific Northwest, and seen in our own individual offerings, that enrolment is down and people are hesitant to commit.
On the other side of the equation, Ian and I are learning just how expensive it is to put on an event of this size and caliber in this corner of the world—especially in the first year when everything must be built from the ground up. The financial stakes for the conference is, to put it simply, stressful.
But in times of difficulty, one of the most useful things you can do (after calling on a strong network of mentors and elders, which we gratefully have) is pivot.
In soul-work especially, the inverse of the obvious is often the medicine and the gateway to sustainable growth. This means leaning into discomfort and uncertainty, and moving forward minus any guarantee that things will work.
With that in mind - and with the prospective attendees, their families, and their communities in heart - we have lowered the price of a conference ticket to $995 across the board.
(Note: this ticket price still includes dorm-style cabin lodging and catered meals, and payment plans are available.)
This adjustment means that to break even (meaning Ian and I don't pay out of pocket; everyone else gets paid no matter what), we need at least 80 ticket-holders to attend. We have a long way to go.
But having more men participate isn't just about the financial outlook. This event needs a critical mass of participants for it to work in a good way. The Cheakamus Centre is expansive: 400 acres, giant lecture halls, a huge dining room, and many cabins. We want to fill that beautiful space with beautiful men.
We need your help, whoever you are reading this. Please spread the good word, ensuring that the news of this conference reaches men who are interested in turning toward this culture-tending and generative work.
To make that as easy and as beautiful as possible, we have put together a Drive folder with various promotional material for you to use as you see fit.
If you are connected to a group of men who might want to attend, we can offer a unique 5% discount code to share with your group or with other men in your circles.

Scholarships & patron tickets & donations
In addition to the general financial hardship bearing down on most of us, men who are members of marginalized groups face additional financial barriers due to our current socio-political reality, as do men who are in acute personal crisis.
These are the very men who could most benefit from being at a mythopoetic gathering in service to tending culture through spirit, soul, and embodiment.
We have set up a scholarship application to help these men attend the conference. To date, thanks to the generosity of our patrons and donors, we have been able to offer five 25% scholarships.
We have many more scholarship applications that we would like to grant. If you are interested in supporting this humble fund, there are two ways you can do so:
You can donate an amount of your choosing here. This allows you to support this event and this work in the world, even if you cannot attend.
Men planning to attend the conference can select the "Patron Ticket" option, which allows them to add a donation to their ticket fee. Patrons who donate a full ticket can specify how or to whom they would like that ticket given.
Every dollar collected goes directly toward a scholarship for a man who could not otherwise attend.
Thank you deeply for your willingness to consider our requests: to join us, to support us, and to support other men in your wider community.
This is village-minded work, and with heads bowed, we humbly call your village-mindedness into this heart-focused endeavor as we work together towards a better day for all.
All blessings,
Trevor and Ian
