Reweaving Our Belonging: A Land-Based Practice for Masculine Maturity
Ben Leggett
BIO
Ben Leggett is an educator and facilitator devoted to guiding men back into a living relationship with the natural world as a foundation for mature masculinity and cultural belonging. With a Master’s degree in Environmental Education and a lifelong connection to the land, his work weaves together ecology, embodiment, and land-based practice to support men in developing presence, emotional depth, and relational responsibility.
Rooted in experiences of extended silent meditation, grief work, and immersion in the more-than-human world, Ben brings a steady, grounded presence to his facilitation. His approach is shaped by the understanding that personal healing and ecological restoration are inseparable, each calling men into deeper participation in the web of life. Drawing inspiration from voices such as Bill Plotkin, Joanna Macy, and Francis Weller, his work invites men to slow down, listen deeply, and be shaped by place. Through simple ritual, reflection, and time on the land, he supports the cultivation of a masculinity that is rooted, responsive, and in service to life
